Description
The Blocksy Companion plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the Advanced Search block's 'search_box_placeholder' attribute in versions 2.0.49 up to, and including, 2.1.57 due to insufficient input sanitization, combined with the Blocksy theme (up to 2.1.57) printing the value into the search input's placeholder attribute without escaping. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with contributor-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.
