Description

The Flexy Breadcrumb plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Reflected Cross-Site Scripting via the search query ('s' parameter) in version 1.3.0. The breadcrumb's JSON-LD structured data, added in 1.3.0, HTML-entity-decodes each breadcrumb name and prints it inside an inline script block without escaping '<' or '/', so a search query containing '</script>' closes the block. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that execute if they can successfully trick a user into performing an action such as clicking on a link. Exploitation requires the breadcrumb to be displayed on search results pages.
