Description

The WPFront Notification Bar plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Reflected Cross-Site Scripting via the request URL in versions 3.5.0 through 3.5.1. When the 'Display based on text in URL' page filter is used and the visited URL does not contain the configured text, the plugin logs the raw request URI and, with debug mode enabled, writes it without escaping into an inline JavaScript console.log() string in the page footer. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that execute if they can successfully trick a user into performing an action such as clicking on a link. Exploitation requires the notification bar to be enabled with both debug mode and the URL-text display filter configured, which are not default settings.
