Description
The Download Manager plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to unauthorized access to protected files via the validate-captcha REST endpoint in all versions up to, and including, 3.3.70. This is due to the endpoint issuing a temporary download key for whatever package ID is supplied once a CAPTCHA token verifies, without checking that the package is published, actually CAPTCHA-locked, and accessible to the requester, while the download handler treats a valid key as satisfying every lock and user-role restriction. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers who solve the site's CAPTCHA to download the files of any published package, including packages protected by a password, email lock or role restriction. Exploitation requires the site to have reCAPTCHA Enterprise configured for the CAPTCHA lock.
