Description

The miniOrange 2FA plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Two-Factor Authentication Bypass in all versions up to, and including, 6.3.1. This is due to the login-time second-factor validation checking the submitted code with whichever 2FA method the request names instead of the method the user has configured, combined with the on-premise Google Authenticator check accepting codes computed from an empty secret for users who have no authenticator secret, and to the grace-period skip action marking the second factor as skipped even for users who already have a 2FA method configured. This makes it possible for attackers who know a user's password to log in as that user without the second factor, either by validating with Google Authenticator for any user whose configured method is something else (on-premise mode, the default), or by skipping 2FA on sites where the grace period is enabled.
