Description

The miniOrange 2FA plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to unauthorized modification of data due to an insufficient capability check on the login-settings AJAX action in all versions up to, and including, 6.3.1. The handler required only the manage_options capability while writing network-wide options. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers with Administrator access to a single sub-site of a multisite network to change the network's 2FA settings, for example disabling 2FA enforcement, enabling the administrator 2FA bypass or enabling a grace period, and to set arbitrary network options to 1 through the role list, weakening second-factor protection for every site and Super Admin on the network.
