Description
The Video Conferencing with Zoom plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to unauthorized access of data due to a missing capability check on the assign_host_id function (get_assign_host_id AJAX action) in all versions up to, and including, 4.6.10. The handler was protected only by the '_nonce_zvc_security' nonce, which the plugin also printed on its front-end join-via-browser page for any logged-in visitor. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Subscriber-level access and above, to enumerate site users, including their email addresses, names and linked Zoom host IDs and emails. This is due to an incomplete fix for CVE-2024-2033, which added only the nonce check in 4.4.6.
