Description

The Virtual Classroom & Video Conferencing plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Open Redirect via the 'current_page' parameter of the room join request in all versions up to, and including, 3.2.0. This is due to the plugin passing the user-supplied return URL to wp_redirect() instead of wp_safe_redirect() when a join attempt fails (for example with an invalid access code) or has to wait for a moderator. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to redirect visitors to arbitrary external sites, for example for phishing, if they can trick a visitor into following a crafted join link. The link must carry the join form's nonce, which is identical for all logged-out visitors and can be read from any public room page, so logged-out visitors are the practical targets and a crafted link stays valid for up to 24 hours.
