Description
The Sensei LMS plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to unauthorized modification of data in all versions up to, and including, 4.26.3. Three paths were affected. The course-structure REST endpoint only checked edit permission for top-level lesson items, so lessons nested inside a module item were renamed and moved into the attacker's course without a check. The lesson bulk-edit handler moved lessons into any submitted course ID. The add_new_module_term AJAX handler attached new modules to any submitted post ID. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers with teacher-level access and above to take over or rename other teachers' lessons, and to add lessons or modules to courses they cannot edit.
