Description
The Awesome Support plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to unauthorized modification of data in all versions up to, and including, 6.4.0. This is due to the wpas_mark_reply_read_ajax() function, hooked to the wpas_mark_reply_read AJAX action, having no nonce check and calling wpas_mark_reply_read() on the submitted post ID before its 'edit_ticket' capability check runs, while wpas_mark_reply_read() does not verify that the post is a ticket reply. The post is re-saved with wp_insert_post() and a partial set of fields. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with subscriber-level access and above, to set any post, page or ticket to the non-public 'read' status, hiding it from the site, and to clear its title and excerpt and close its comments.
